Applications are now being accepted for participation in Missoula, Montana's eighth International Choral Festival, to be held from July 15-19, 2009.

Participation is open to choirs of all ages and voicings. Choirs are screened by the Selection Committee based on their musical ability and participation in the Festival is by official invitation only. Selected choirs are expected to participate in the entire Festival program. Participating choirs also waive all fees and rights to audio and video recordings made or authorized by the International Choral Festival during the course of the festival, and agree to sign a release waiver relative to these rights upon their arrival in Missoula.

Fees: There are no application or participation fees associated with the International Choral Festival.

Lodging: Once selected, all choirs must finance their travel to and from Missoula. Choirs who travel from outside of the United States will be housed with local families and provided all meals during Festival week. Domestic choirs are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and meals, however are included in all group meals and social functions.

Deadline: There is no official deadline for submitting an application, however because applications will be reviewed in the order received, interested choirs are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Invitations will not be extended after the maximum capacity for participation has been reached.

INSTRUCTIONS

In order to be considered for participation in Missoula's International Choral Festival, choirs must submit an application packet containing all of the following:

1. A completed application form.
   
   
2. A recent recording of the choir.
   (CD recordings are preferred, however a cassette recordings are also acceptable).
   
   
3. A short biography of the choir, including the choir's history and other items of interest. (for example: a list of recordings made, awards received, or tours)
   
   
4. A current color photograph of the choir to be used for publicity purposes. A clean, original photo is preferred, however digital photographs of high resolution (minimum 300 pixels/square inch at 4"x5" or 120 pixels/square cm at 10.16 x 12.7 cm) are acceptable.
